CIPMD's Membership Framework
CIPMD's membership framework is designed to reflect an individual's growing expertise, leadership capacity, and contributions to the field of People Management. The ascending membership cadres serve as milestones in a professional's career journey, each with distinct eligibility requirements and recognition levels.
Associate Member (ACIPMD):
Serves as the entry point for early-career professionals or those transitioning into People Management roles. This cadre recognizes foundational knowledge and commitment to professional development, requiring either relevant academic qualifications or demonstrated experience in personnel-related functions.
Fellow (FCIPMD):
Signifies substantial experience and achievement in People Management. Fellows are typically mid-to-senior level professionals who have shown strategic capability in workforce planning, talent development, or organizational leadership. This cadre requires evidence of professional impact, such as successful policy implementation, team leadership, or contributions to People Management best practices.
Doctoral Research Fellow (DRFCIPMD):
Reserved for individuals engaged in advanced research that contributes new knowledge to the field of People Management. This cadre recognizes scholars and practitioner-researchers who bridge the gap between theory and practice, often through doctoral studies or significant research projects with practical applications.
Senior Fellow (SFCIPMD):
At the pinnacle of the membership structure stands the Senior Fellow (SFCIPMD) distinction, awarded to individuals with transformative influence in People Management. Senior Fellows are recognized thought leaders, industry pioneers, or executives who have shaped workforce strategies at organizational, national, or global levels. This elite cadre represents the highest standard of professional achievement and contribution to the field.
